Features And Benefits

Precoil Thread Inserts are manufactured from high quality stainless steel and are suitable for several applications. Designed for easy installation, the Precoil thread inserts are lighter and less expensive than most of the other thread inserts available in the market today. Following are few product features and benefits that come with Precoil thread inserts:

STRENGTH

Precoil threads provide better distribution of residual stress loading when compared to tapped holes. The flexibility of the Precoil Inserts helps to compensate for pitch and flank angle errors, inherent in normal tapped holes, and significantly enhances the load bearing capacity. As such the Precoil inserts can be used with any grade of material for long lasting applications.

CORROSION RESISTANCE

Precoil Thread Inserts are manufactured using stainless steel which resist any kind of corrosion. For applications which involve severe and repetitive corrosion environment, there are coatings available to minimize the corrosion effects.

TEMPERATURE RANGE

Precoil Thread Inserts are manufactured using stainless steel can operate in temperatures ranging from -160ºC to +420ºC (-320ºF to + 800ºF). Where higher temperatures are involved, Precoil Inserts can be manufactured using creep resistant nickel based alloys.

BENEFITS

Precoil Inserts are easier to use and install in a wide range of applications including applications where there is frequent assembly & disassembly. Due to their compact size they can generally be incorporated into existing designs where no previous provision has been made. In many cases, our clients have been able to make use of thinner sections or lighter parent materials without sacrificing thread strength. As such Precoil Inserts create internal threads in which wear due to thread friction is virtually eliminated
