PRECOIL Screw Thread Inserts INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
- Drill the hole Select drill size from the table.
- Tap the hole With special insert tap.
- Inserting the insert
- Select the appropriate Insert Tool. Slide the insert inside the chamber of the body to the stem slot so that the tang of the insert engages in the driving slot at the forward end.
- Apply assembly to the tapped hole. Avoiding a downward load on the tang, wind in the insert until the top coil is not less than half a coil below the top of the tapped hole.
- Tang break off Use the Tang Breaker to remove the tang. Locate the tang breaker on the tang and give sharp downward blow with light hammer. For above M12 use long nose pillar.
- Extracting the Insert Use Extracting tool to remove the Insert if it is not seated properly in the tapped hole
